Welcome to Bark Seat Driver. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, client portal, booking platform, and pet transportation services (“Services”). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
1. About Bark Seat Driver
Bark Seat Driver provides pet transportation and shuttle services, including rides to and from veterinary appointments, grooming appointments, boarding facilities, daycare, and other approved destinations.
Our Services are intended for pet owners and authorized caregivers who are at least 18 years old.
2. Eligibility
By using our Services, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have the legal authority to arrange transportation for the pet(s)
- All information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date
- Your pet is safe to transport and does not pose an unreasonable risk to drivers, other passengers, or the public
We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.
3. Booking Requests & Confirmation
Submitting a ride request does not guarantee transportation services. All ride requests are subject to:
- Driver availability
- Service area limitations
- Pet suitability and behavior assessment
- Operational confirmation
Bark Seat Driver reserves the right to:
- Confirm or decline requests based on capacity, safety, or operational considerations
- Adjust scheduling based on availability or route planning
- Apply additional charges or surcharges when necessary (e.g., for locations outside the standard 5-mile service radius)
- Cancel bookings due to weather, emergencies, unsafe conditions, or other operational concerns
Advance booking required: All rides must be booked at least 24 hours in advance so we can plan routes and ensure each passenger receives proper attention.
4. Payments
Payment may be required before or at the time services are performed. By submitting payment, you authorize Bark Seat Driver to charge the provided payment method for:
- Transportation services at the current posted rates
- Applicable fees or surcharges
- Taxes, if applicable
Payments are processed through third-party payment processors, including Square, Venmo, and Apple Pay. Bark Seat Driver does not store full payment card information on its servers.
Tips and gratuities are always optional and appreciated but never required.
Pricing may change at any time. Current rates are posted on our website. Any price changes will not affect rides that have already been confirmed.
5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled ride to avoid a cancellation fee.
Bark Seat Driver may charge cancellation fees for:
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled ride
- Missed appointments or no-shows
- Situations where the driver has already been dispatched
Refund decisions are made at Bark Seat Driver’s sole discretion.
6. Pet Health, Safety & Requirements
Required Before First Ride
Before your pet’s first ride with Bark Seat Driver, you must complete the following:
- Dog Profile Page — including your pet’s name, age, breed, and temperament
- Owner and Emergency Contact Information
- Proof of current vaccinations, including rabies, Bordetella, and distemper
- Signed Service Waiver — a separate document required before transport begins
Please note: Agreeing to these Terms of Service does not replace the separate signed service waiver. Both are required before your pet’s first ride.
Your Responsibilities
You agree that:
- Your pet is healthy enough for transportation
- All required vaccinations (rabies, Bordetella, and distemper) are current and documentation is on file
- You have disclosed any behavioral concerns, medical conditions, allergies, or special handling requirements
- Your pet is properly secured when applicable
Our Rights
Bark Seat Driver reserves the right to refuse transport if a pet appears aggressive, severely ill, unsafe to transport, or presents a health or safety concern to our drivers or other passengers.
In the event of a medical emergency involving your pet during transport, you authorize Bark Seat Driver to seek appropriate veterinary care if you or your emergency contact cannot be reached. You are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred in such situations.
7. Drop-Off Requirements
Someone must be home to receive your pet at the time of drop-off. For safety reasons, Bark Seat Driver will never leave a dog unattended, outside, or with an unauthorized person.
If no authorized person is available at the scheduled drop-off location:
- The driver will attempt to contact you and your emergency contact on file
- If no one can be reached within a reasonable time, your pet will be returned to the pickup location or held safely until arrangements can be made
- Additional fees may apply for failed drop-offs, extended wait times, or return trips
